SAS Pathology Procedure Simulation

The Complex Procedures with SAS Simulation application offers users a unique experience in understanding vertebral body control and rod seating. Three complex spine procedures are highlighted within this experience:
•Thoracic realignment - adult idiopathic scoliosis: AIS
•Posterior corpectomy
•Adult deformity - pedicle subtraction osteotomy: PSO

Within each of the simulated procedures, the user will have the ability to demonstrate and teach the sagittal and coronal control, along with the biomechanics, of each screw type’s accommodation of rod seating. Screw types featured included fixed-angle, multiaxial, uniaxial, and the CD HORIZON® SOLERA™ 5.5/6.0 Sagittal Adjusting Screws. 

The SAS Simulation app is the perfect vehicle for demonstrating how screw biomechanics impact sagittal balance to your spine surgeons who practicing complex deformity and trauma procedures.  When your presentation is complete, you also will be able to e-mail your surgeon a copy of the Control versus Accommodation chart for the various screw types.
